On the night of June 13, Iran launched a retaliatory attack on Israel by launching 150 ballistic missiles and 100+ drones and named this operation True Promise III. Sirens were sounded in Tel Aviv and Israel’s capital Jerusalem and the Israeli government issued an alert warning across the country.
Interception, Impact & International Response
According to the IDF and the United States, they intercepted many of Iran’s missiles and drones, but some missiles hit Israel, killing 3 people and injuring more than 172 people.
Iran struck Israel’s Military Headquarters, airbases, intelligence centers, and weapon depots in an attack on the night of 13 June; in response, Israel again struck Iran’s nuclear sites and killed many atomic scientists.
The US has refused to engage in direct military involvement but has given the signal to intercept Iranian missiles also Jordan, the UK, and France helped in intercepting the missiles coming to Israel.
